Net Booty

If you hang out online long enough someone is going to offer you some free stuff. On a few occasions I have come across posts saying the first XX many people to write in get something. Just recently Street Photographer David Solomon offered up a copy of his new book to the first five to write in and I happened to be one of the lucky five. before that I was one of the first hundred to write in and get a DVD from Element about Don Pendleton. before that I wrote in to DC Films (the short lived DC skate video site) and was one of a few hundred to get a limited edition t-shirt. Mine is number 65/100. I hope one day it will be a serious collector's item worth many thousands of dollars. In the end I'm just saying sometimes it pays to be completely internet obsessed

Collage

We have been making a fair amount of VHS dubs at work lately so there have been a lot of VHS labels left over. I made this collage while some tapes where dubbing the other day. Nothing special, just bored.

House Hunting

With the housing market in a slump, Kellie and I decided we should help out and buy a house. It looks like we could upgrade to a house and not have to pay too much more than we pay now. WE looked at a handful of houses yesterday. They all had their weird things about them. One was a foreclosure in Ghent that had been gutted after being poorly decorated. We also looked at a nice three bedroom place in Colonial Place with a huge shed but a weird living room. The current favorite is a house on Willow Wood that is crazy spacious. Kellie is in love with it, but I still need some convincing. My problem is the lack of work space. The garage was converted into a second living room, so the only work space is a small shed in the back yard. It wouldn't be hard to build a new bigger shed so...

I know that picture is terrible, but that's what they had on the website.

Sister Corita

I mentioned Sister Corita back in July, then today was reminded of her and thought you guys might enjoy being reminded of her as well.I wish there was more video about her out there. Aaron Rose made a 20 minute Doc called Passion for the Possible: The Work of Sister Corita but that seems to be hard to come by.
